The way I see it, there are a couple different levels of church sign craziness. You've got your poor analogy for real faith. Then there's the level of just bad theology. Then, there are the signs that threaten or insult different beliefs. Somewhere, about 40 miles beyond this entire spectrum, there's this:
Are they trying to make their church sound mysterious? A, Come Inside for the Answer kind of thing? Possibly. Or more likely, are they quoting the eminently bad song "Epic" by the forgotten band "Faith No More"? And why, oh why, would they do that?
The band is actually called Faith No More. And here is a link to the music video. It's beyond tragic, but worth it just for the dude's shirt.

Aaron, Aaron, Aaron...
I'm going to give you what I like to call the "compliment sandwich." I'm going to say something nice, then something you can improve on, then finish with another nice thing.
Nice thing: This post, as per usual, was funny.
Thing you can improve on: I can see at the bottom of the sign that you used a church sign generator to make this picture. I can only hope that you only used this website to recreate an actual sign that you saw on the road.
Nice thing: I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt here, because you're awesome.
Yeah man. I use the generator because I don't have a camera. My camera phone won't take legible pictures from the road.
P.S. Nice reference with the compliment sandwich.
I wonder if it is a play on Brian MacNamee's testimony with Roger Clemens in front of Congress. He had to explain what "It is what it is" means.
Could be that too. But does that make more sense or less sense? I can't decide.
At least this church has people talking about it! Maybe silly signs do work.
