In all of the excitement that was my weekend, I lost track of the best part of last week. I rode 70 miles to West Lafayette to celebrate a birthday with the ineffable Ben Hallett.
The wind was absolutely howling at my back most of the way, which made everything just a little bit easier. I did get caught up in some road construction in Putnam County, and I've been picking copious amounts of tar out of my leg hair since Thursday evening. That explains this.
Other than that, it was pretty much perfect. There were even banana-nut muffins at the end.
(Crawfordsville is NOT the coolest town I've ever been in, by the way.)
