Music & Ministry

Last spring, we did a very brief series about finding glimpses of Christian and moral truth in the lyrics of popular songs. We checked out two songs - "How to Save a Life" by The Fray and "Waiting on the World to Change" by John Mayer. Both of those songs were huge at the time, but I thought they both spoke a ton toward the way this generation of Christians felt about the world around them. We ran with it.

This year we're doing it up a little bigger. Five songs in five weeks beginning November 11. Here's what we're covering this time around:
  • Stay with You by The Goo Goo Dolls
  • Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol
  • What I've Done by Linkin Park
  • Car Crash by Matt Nathanson
  • World by Five for Fighting
Which secular songs do you find God in?
